Part-Time Trust Accountant/Bookkeeper with experience in MYOB
A critical role in a respected legal practice
Youll be the in-house Trust and General Accountant/Bookkeeper, working closely with the Director to ensure trust accounts, payroll, financial reporting, and general accounting obligations are managed with precision and care.
This is a part-time, permanent role working 2025 hours per week, with flexibility around scheduling. Youll be based onsite at the firms Hawthorn office.
Your key responsibilities:
- Full management of trust accounts in line with legal and regulatory requirements
- Payroll processing, superannuation, and employee entitlements
- Managing invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
- End-of-month and year-end financial reports for review by the Director
- Cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and compliance tracking
- Maintaining licenses and audit readiness
- Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements
What youll bring to the role:
- Experience managing trust accounts in a legal or professional services firm
- Confidence with MYOB, trust accounting systems (e.g. LEAP or Affinity), and Microsoft Excel
- Strong general accounting, reporting, and payroll experience
- A proactive, self-managed approach to work
- Clear communication and the ability to liaise directly with the firms Director
