Job brief

Under direction from Company management and Agro lead, support business to identify and implement projects for development of chip-stock and seed value chain. To implement Positive Agriculture agenda as per plan and lead stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure support for identification and implementation of projects for development of Chip-stock, extrude and seed value chains
  • Work with Public/Private sector to identify cost efficient solutions for Mechanization and irrigation technologies in Agriculture.
  • Provide visibility of policies and respective key unlocks for business and value chains.
  • Participate in trainings and other forums showcasing Best Practices and developing its lift and shift to growers in Ethiopia.
  • Ensuring designing capability program for teams based on skill matrix and Training Need Analysis
  • Lead implementation of Projects/interventions under Positive Agriculture and PepsiCo Positive.
  • Work in close liaison with Supply chain team to bring operational efficiency and productivity for function.
  • Record analyze and prepare overall agro operations data
  • Apart from the above, employee is expected to perform other accountabilities, time to time assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience at managerial level with any agribusiness company.

  • Highly analytic – ability to analyze complex talent data, processes and draw key insights 
  • Attention to detail – ability to scrutinize data and plans and identify risks/gaps
  • Influencing skills: to be able to create buy-in and support for project management processes and practices and to influence progress against agreed plans.
  • Creative skills to design fit for purpose solutions and optimize functional strategy in developing market Strong delivery bias – ability to deliver high quality outputs 
  • Proficiency in working with various project management and succession planning methodologies and models

  • Correct and timely collection of projects insight and recommendations for way forward.
