Senior Structural Designer

We are seeking a Senior Structural Designer to lead detailed structural modelling and fabrication output within a remote delivery framework.

The Role

This is a senior hands-on remote structural design position. You will take ownership of structural steelwork models, pipe support frameworks and detailed fabrication drawings, ensuring accuracy, constructability and coordination with piping and process systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop 3D structural models using Tekla and/or AutoCAD

· Produce detailed fabrication drawings and GA packages

· Create pipe support steelwork and secondary steel structures

· Coordinate structural models with piping and process layouts

· Manage LOD 300 LOD 450 structural development

· Ensure compliance with relevant structural standards

· Carry out remote model reviews and quality checks

· Support design optimisation and weight efficiency initiatives

· Mentor junior designers and apprentices remotely

· Assist with technical input during tender stages

Requirements

· 8+ years structural design experience

· Strong experience using Tekla and AutoCAD

· Proven experience producing fabrication-level structural detailing

· Experience designing industrial steelwork and pipe support systems

· Strong understanding of constructability and fabrication processes

· Experience coordinating within BIM environments

· Self-disciplined and capable of managing workload remotely

Desirable

· Experience in semiconductor, pharma, oil & gas, data centre, renewable or process industries

· Exposure to high-spec clean or process environments

· Experience delivering European project packages
