Position Description: Accountant

Location: Remote, PH

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting key financial processes, including month-end and quarter-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial system transitions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post accurate month-end journal entries and perform reconciliations within required deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial results, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
  • Complete quarter-end balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies as necessary.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports in collaboration with the Finance Manager and wider Finance team.
  • Provide additional support during month-end close, as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Finance team to ensure smooth operations and continuous process improvements.
  • Contribute to activities related to:
  • End of Financial Year reporting and audit preparation
  • The transition to new financial systems, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting during the changeover

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and basic tax compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Solid MS365 skills and experience with accounting software
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
