Role Brief

The Mid Level Accountant is responsible for supporting core accounting operations across the Philippines and Singapore entities, with a strong focus on audit coordination and financial control. This role requires a plug-and-play professional who can quickly support external auditors, maintain clean balance sheet accounts, and ensure accurate month-end reporting.

The role reports directly to the Finance Manager (PH) and works closely with regional finance stakeholders in a lean, fast-paced environment.

Key Role Deliverables

  • Support external audit processes in PH and SG by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit requests.
  • Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain clean and reconciled balance sheet accounts, clearing long-outstanding items with proper supporting documentation.
  • Record and post daily bank transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Process vendor invoices, perform PO matching, and assist in payment preparation.
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules, tax supporting documents, and financial reporting packs.
  • Maintain organized financial records to ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Provide support on ad hoc regional accounting matters as assigned.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • CPA preferred but not mandatory

Minimum Years of Experience in Similar Role

  • Minimum 3–5 years total experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Exposure to external audit environments or experience supporting audit processes is advantageous.
  • Experience in in-house accounting or finance operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.

Technical System Experience

  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Exposure to other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Xero, etc.) acceptable
  • Strong Excel skills required (reconciliations, audit schedules, supporting files)
