Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting/Tax Assistant to support our finance department. This role focuses on German tax law compliance, international tax matters, and general administrative accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between daily operations and external tax advisors/auditors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor transactions regarding German tax law compliance.
  • Support international tax law matters and research.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and support branch offices.
  • Communicate with external tax advisors and auditors.
  • Support tax audits, including wage tax and customs audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with HGB and local tax regulations.
  • Perform general administrative tasks within the accounting department.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Completed commercial training (Kaufmännische Ausbildung) or equivalent, specializing in Accounting/Tax or [Bachelor's in Taxation/Finance].
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
  • Languages: Native or Professional working proficiency in German (C1 level or higher) and good proficiency in English.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and a diligent/responsible work style.
