Technical Sales Consultant APAC

We are looking for a fastidious technically minded individual to join our Global Sales and Service team at PowerShield, based in Sydney.

PowerShield specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and operation of advanced battery monitoring systems for organisations with critical services that rely on continuous power. We are a New Zealand business that operates globally with customers in over 50 countries.

The purpose of this role is to achieve maximum sales, profitability and growth within the APAC region by maintaining and expanding business relationships with strategically important customers; promote the PowerShield brand through a full customer care service and relationship-based approach.

We are looking for a customer focused electronic engineer who has jumped at the opportunity to attend expos or conferences as the technical expert, who is the go-to person within their organisation to explain detailed technical solutions to non technical decision makers. Experience within a related industry involving technical hardware products, specifically UPS or Battery systems is a non-negotiable requirement.

The role is preferably based in Sydney, working from home as you flexibility meets the demands of servicing multiple time zones, travelling as required.

Key responsibilities:

-Develop and implement a regional business plan in conjunction with regional manager and in line with the overall Global PowerShield strategy.

-Retain existing customers through ensuring excellent customer service that meets or exceeds the agreed customer scorecard.

-Win new business through a targeted strategy to new and existing customers, with the sales process of prospect, qualify, write proposals and secure or decline if necessary.

-Increase revenue from resellers through building strong partnerships to promote the PowerShield brand to end users and training and supporting the resellers in this.

-Manage the implementation process from proposal through to final stages of install, keeping the customer informed of status at all times, including overseeing the installation, ensuring the installation team are PowerShield trained and training them if necessary.

-Provide level 1 and 2 technical support for existing customers.
