Our client is a leading wealth solutions platform providing bespoke services in Trust, Insurance, and Family Governance to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions. With a pioneering approach and a strong presence in Asia, the firm is expanding its Singapore team with the addition of a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Southeast Asia.
This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity for a young, energetic, and motivated Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing team in Singapore with a strategic mandate to grow the Trust, Insurance, and Family Governance business across Southeast Asia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong institutional sales background, bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, and an entrepreneurial drive to build client relationships across private banks, multi-family offices, law firms, and other intermediaries in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the firm's footprint in the Trust, Insurance, and Family Office space across Southeast Asia.
- Achieve quantitative target in overall business development for the business
- Identify and engage with institutional clients and intermediaries (e.g., EAMs, legal and tax advisors, family offices, Immigration Consultancy & any other non-bank channel) to generate new business opportunities.
- Promote the firm's bespoke solutions tailored to ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) and families.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product, legal, tax and operations teams, to establish business relationship with these non-bank channel.
- Participate in marketing campaigns, client events, and industry forums to enhance brand visibility and network presence.
- Stay current with market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments in the trust, insurance, and wealth planning sectors.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in institutional sales, business development, or relationship management, preferably in insurance, trust, or private banking.
- Proven track record in generating new business and managing client relationships in the Southeast Asia market.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese; Cantonese proficiency is a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and drive.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to a fast-paced and growing business.
- Experience working with HNW/UHNW clients and their advisors is an advantage.
