Global Fixed Income Discretionary Portfolio Manager

Our client is a European Private Bank seeking a Discretionary Portfolio Manager (DPM) with a focus on Global Fixed Income to join their Asia team, based in Singapore.


Reporting to the Regional Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management, the successful candidate will manage discretionary fixed income portfolios and drive DPM business development across the region. This is a high-impact role for an experienced investment professional with a strong background in fixed income strategy and UHNW client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day discretionary portfolio mandates focused on global fixed income markets, ensuring alignment with client objectives, income needs, and risk profiles.

  • Lead portfolio reviews, performance reporting, and ongoing risk monitoring, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.

  • Collaborate with RMs, IAs, and the CIO team to deliver bespoke fixed income investment solutions for UHNW clients.

  • Drive DPM marketing initiatives, create investment proposals, and produce high-quality fixed income market commentary and client-facing materials.

  • Enhance DPM visibility in Asia through active client engagement, presentations, and internal training on fixed income strategies.

  • Contribute to global and regional investment committees, articulating house views and positioning on global fixed income markets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree from a recognized university, preferably in Finance, Economics, or related fields.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in discretionary portfolio management with a strong track record managing global fixed income portfolios in Private Banking.

  • Proven expertise across sovereign, corporate, and emerging market debt, with strong analytical and credit research capabilities.

  • Demonstrated success working with UHNW clients and delivering tailored fixed income portfolio solutions.

  • Deep knowledge of global fixed income markets, monetary policy, and credit cycles.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to translate macro and credit market themes into actionable strategies.

  • Proficient in Bloomberg, FactSet, and MS Office; familiarity with DPM and risk management tools is a plus.

  • Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred to support North Asia clientele.
