GENERAL FUNCTION:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join a licensed provider of behavioral and developmental support services in the Mid-South. The organization delivers supported living, day services, professional support services, and other individualized supports for persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, in alignment with Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Medicaid waiver requirements. Services are delivered under strict adherence to state regulations and ethical guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The RBT will play a critical role in implementing Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Key responsibilities include:

1. Procedural Integrity:

  • Conduct regular procedural integrity checks to ensure accurate and consistent BSP implementation.

  • Monitor intervention fidelity in alignment with BACB standards.

2. Program Implementation:

  • Provide ongoing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals.

  • Implement BSP protocols developed by the supervising BCBA.

  • Model correct BSP implementation and data collection for staff.

3. Data Collection & Analysis:

  • Evaluate accuracy and reliability of staff data collection.

  • Perform timely data entry and graphing, consistent with ABA standards.

  • Observe behaviors and consult with the BCBA for plan updates when necessary.

4. Feedback & Support:

  • Provide constructive feedback to staff on BSP implementation.

  • Collaborate to reinforce best practices and address areas for improvement.

  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

5. Supervision & Compliance:

  • Participate in supervision sessions with a BCBA or Statewide Director of Behavior Services.

  • Track supervision hours and implement feedback to improve service quality.

  • Ensure adherence to BACB supervision guidelines.

6. Staff Training:

  • Assist in training staff on BSP implementation and ABA practices.

  • Observe and retrain staff as needed to maintain fidelity to behavioral plans.

7. Certification Maintenance:

  • Maintain active RBT certification, including required continuing education.

  • Follow BACB ethical guidelines in all professional activities.

  • Maintain personal training as required by state and regulatory agencies.

8. Billing & Documentation:

  • Accurately document all services provided and support timely billing.

  • Maintain organized, compliant records for the organization and regulatory bodies.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist during behavioral crises when requested by the BCBA.

  • Promote safety, best practices, and organizational values.

  • Support quality management initiatives.

  • Operate vehicles safely as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Registered Behavioral Therapist is a professional providing behavior services under the clinical supervision of a BCBA and who meets the following qualifications:

  • Completion of a high school degree or its equivalent.

  • Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

  • A bachelor's degree in a related area (e.g., psychology, ABA, special education) is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in behavior data entry and graphing software.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid drivers license (Tennessee, Mississippi, or Arkansas) and current auto insurance.

  • CDL if required for the position.
