About the job Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC/MHSP/LMHT)
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality mental health services to individuals supported by our organization. The Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral disorders, supporting individuals with dual diagnoses of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct thorough assessments and diagnose mental health conditions in compliance with DSM-5-TR standards.

Develop and implement treatment plans in alignment with Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSPs).

Provide individual and/or intensive outpatient therapy using research-based, evidence-supported counseling techniques.

Assist individuals in responding constructively to treatment, supporting adjustment and progress toward goals.

Train and collaborate with staff, family, and other supports to implement effective care strategies.

Serve as a clinical liaison among stakeholders, ensuring continuity of care.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Exhibit professional behaviors consistent with organizational values and ethics.

Participate in required training and maintain a safe work environment.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling, Community Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.

Active, unrestricted license to practice independently in Tennessee.

Valid drivers license and automobile insurance.

Successful completion of background check and drug screening.
MEDICAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Provide required medical documentation as mandated by regulatory agencies.

Position may require being on-call outside normal office hours.
-
Regularly stand or walk for extended periods; sit for short or long periods; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach.

Travel to meetings, trainings, or site visits, including occasional overnight trips.
-
Must use all five senses effectively; vision must allow for close, distant, and depth perception tasks.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
