Senior Full Stack Engineer

Job description:

Position: Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Information about the Company: A Delaware Public Benefits Corporation and HR-Fintech-For-Good platform that turns employer benefits into pet-as-dependent stipends and blockchain-verified animal rescue funding.

Reports to: Founder / Technical Advisor

Location: Remote

Tech Stack:

• Front-end: Next.js / React (PWA)
• Back-end: Node.js with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Functions)
• Payments: Stripe (Billing + Connect)
• Infrastructure: AWS / Vercel / Docker

Responsibilities:

• Build the MVP from front-end to back-end following defined milestones.
• Implement secure, role-based access for employers, employees, vendors, and admins.
• Build wallet, transaction, and payout logic with automated fund allocation.
• Create dashboards for transactions, payouts, and usage metrics.
• Manage deployment, QA testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate directly with the founder and a senior technical advisor on architecture, security, and feature development.

Requirements:

• 4–5 years of full-stack experience with React/Next.js and Node.js.
• Proficiency with Stripe Billing/Connect or similar payment systems.
• Familiarity with Firebase or other serverless environments.
• Strong Git/GitHub workflow and commitment to clean, maintainable code.
• Excellent communication and accountability in remote collaboration.

Nice to Have:

• Experience building HR tech, fintech, or SaaS dashboards.
• Background in PWA or mobile-first design.
• Understanding of accounting integrations (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
