Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Prepare year-end financial statements and income tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts, and Companies
Perform ad-hoc bookkeeping, payroll, and custom management/benchmarking reports in Xero
Liaise with the ATO on client matters as required
Maintain workflow tasks, WIP, and client invoicing if needed
- Participate in internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing meetings
Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Accounting (CA/CPA preferred but not required)
- 3+ years of experience in Australian public practice
- Advanced Xero skills, including:
- Bank reconciliations
- Invoicing and payroll
- Report layouts and tax reporting
- Fixed assets and financial statement/tax mapping
- Strong understanding of Australian GST, income tax, and reconciliations
- Proven ability to complete financial statements and tax returns through to review stage
- Excellent written and verbal English for daily collaboration with the Australian team
