We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to join the Developer Experience domain. This role will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to lead technical direction, deliver high-quality software, manage a team of full stack engineers and improve developer tools, APIs and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical direction across developer tools and developer experience initiatives.
  • Partner with Product to assess opportunities, shape priorities and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of full stack engineers.
  • Own technical architecture, solution design and delivery within the team's domain.
  • Break down complex requirements into clear work items and guide the team through delivery.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery from planning through to deployment, support and monitoring.
  • Identify risks, trade-offs and improvement opportunities early.
  • Improve team processes, engineering standards and ways of working.
  • Build a strong team culture based on ownership, autonomy, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring decisions, team composition and capability development.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong experience with developer tools, developer experience and secure API development.
  • Proven background leading technical delivery in an agile engineering environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Experience managing and growing full stack engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of scalable software architecture, microservices and REST APIs.
  • Full stack development experience across frontend, backend, DevOps and test automation.
  • Experience with Docker, ECS, AWS serverless technologies and cloud-based platforms.
  • Database experience across NoSQL and relational systems.
  • Frontend experience with Vue.js or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed teams.
  • Experience managing people, performance and career development.
