About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-paced, innovative group supporting critical facility and process upgrades. Our ideal candidate will have experience in architectural, electrical, and P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) CAD work, and will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams. Remote work is available and encouraged for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, revise, and maintain CAD drawings to support architectural layouts, electrical schematics, and P&IDs for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site
  • Collaborate remotely and onsite with process engineers, architects, and electrical engineering teams to gather requirements and execute drawing updates
  • Develop and manage drawing packages for project submittals, permitting, and construction
  • Incorporate project specifications, site sketches, and markups into detailed CAD designs
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and company practices
  • Assist in document control and version management for all CAD deliverables
  • Participate in remote design reviews and provide recommendations for drawing improvements
  • Ensure that CAD layouts comply with relevant codes and cGMP/regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical facilities

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD platforms) with a portfolio supporting architectural, electrical, and/or process (P&ID) design
  • Minimum 2 years CAD experience (pharmaceutical, biotech, or related FDA/regulated industry highly preferred)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment while staying communicative and responsive to project updates
  • Familiarity with typical pharmaceutical facility layouts, clean room design, and electrical system integration is a plus
  • Experience with P&ID standards and coordination between disciplines (process, architecture, MEP)
  • Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple design packages
