Required Skills and Expertise:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field
· 8+ years of relevant work experience of which
· 5+ years should be in technical accounting roles (strong SEC reporting knowledge is necessary)
· Prior public accounting experience in audit and assurance a plus
· CPA required
· Strong GAAP experience along with hands on experience
Assist in preparation of a monthly and quarterly reporting package for public company (K/Qs) including the notes to the consolidated financial statements and related reporting schedules.
· Experience researching and analyzing complex accounting issues and serve as an advisor to leadership on proper application.
· Coordinate with the Investor Relations department to prepare the quarterly earnings releases and supporting schedules
· Research and conclude on accounting for non-routine, complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including preparation of technical memorandums that frame the issues/questions, analysis, and conclusions
· Prepare consolidated balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analytics for internal control purposes and for review by external auditors
· Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skill
· Work closely with cross-functionally with finance, legal, tax, operations, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve accounting and financial reporting matters.
· Strong project management and data analysis skills
· Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Strong work ethic and capacity, ability to work collaboratively with a sense of urgency and commitment
· Exceptionally organized and strong at execution, follow-up, and attention to detail
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
· 3+ years experience supervising and developing staff
