Job Overview

 

·          Facilitate the implementation of procurement strategic sourcing plans, understanding, acknowledging, and resolving roadblocks ensuring prompt initiative implementation

·          Identify cost optimization opportunities and drive procurement projects to realize PBIT (i.e. with a focus on Pre-Press materials/services and indirect spend) and non-PBIT/Working Capital benefits to the company (i.e. Supply Chain Financing initiative across region)

·          Perform a geographic role – liaising with sites and suppliers within a defined geography

to improve the interface efficiency between procurement & sites.

·          Also act as the interface between Group Procurement and plants, representing plants’/regional needs in Category and Strategy development and focusing on execution and compliance at the plant level of agreed Procurement strategies and category plans for your area of responsibility

·          Build relationships with nominated suppliers so as to position the company as a preferred and trusted business partner and ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality goods at optimum cost

·          Build relationship with internal stakeholders to position

·          Procurement as a trusted partner to ensure early visibility of procurement projects ·      

·          Support the selection, qualification, management and development of local/regional suppliers and seek to maximize the value of these relationships for Company  

·          Support and drive regional strategic initiatives (i.e. Supply Chain Financing, Vendor Managed Inventory)

·          Provide leadership in the performance management of supply of services

·          Deliver sustainable improvements to business results incl. supply assurance, cost, quality, service,

and innovation

 

Knowledge and Experience

·       Minimum of three to five years of experience in a procurement function

·       Proven ability to implement strategies in a large, complex and evolving organization

·       Experience in Packaging, manufacturing or FMCG industries is desirable

·       Stakeholder management competence coupled with strong communication and influencing skills

·          Procurement technical skills; including market analysis, supplier selection and negotiation

·          Working

·          knowledge of company information and data systems used by Procurement

·          Understanding

·          of key administrative systems that impact Procurement and suppliers 

·          Presentation,

Education and Certifications

University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
