Locksmith with Automotive skills - East Coast

Locksmith with automotive experience required for East Coast based company.

This is the preeminent provider in the region servicing from East Cape down the Bays to Gisborne.

They are seeking an experienced locksmith with some automotive experience. You do not necessarily need to be a tier 1 operator in this respect, however you will need to have foundational ability such as:

• Being able to identify common automotive keyblanks by eye.
• Be able to decode broken keys such as TOY43 and MIT8 by eye.
  
• Identify and clone common transponders.
• Use an RF meter to ascertain remote frequencies.

Some experience with a scan tool such as xtool/mvp/smartpro would be highly desirable.

This is an opportunity to get in on the ground level with a well known and respected company within the region. The successful applicant will be highly self motivated, with a willingness to self learn and seek guidance from the greater locksmithing network where necessary. This is not a company with a depth of automotive knowledge for you to draw on. However what that does afford is the ability take the initiative and mold the automotive division to your preferences.

This is a long standing and highly experienced team in all other aspects of locksmithing. The successful applicant will be afforded the opportunity to progress quickly into a management or potentially company ownership position should you wish to pursue that in future.

This role would be ideal for an experienced locksmith looking to return home to the region after serving in the main centres or Australia.
