A leading Egyptian premium food manufacturing group with multiple production facilities and a strong regional market presence. The group operates across diverse product lines with a focus on quality, operational excellence, and brand leadership.
Role Overview
The Costing Manager will lead the end-to-end cost accounting function across multiple production sites. The role is critical in driving margin optimization, controlling production costs, and supporting strategic pricing decisions in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
This position reports to the Finance Director / CFO and works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product costing across multiple factories and SKUs
- Oversee standard costing, actual costing, and variance analysis
- Monitor raw material yield, wastage, and production efficiency
- Analyze direct labor and manufacturing overhead absorption
- Control inventory valuation and ensure accurate costing in ERP
- Lead monthly cost closing and margin analysis by product line
- Partner with Operations to improve cost efficiency and productivity
- Support pricing strategies and new product launches
- Evaluate impact of FX fluctuations on imported raw materials
- Develop cost reduction initiatives across the group
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance
- CMA strongly preferred
- 8–12 years of experience in cost accounting within FMCG or food manufacturing
- Multi-plant experience is a must
- Strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing systems)
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong leadership and cross-functional communication skills
