Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Administrator to oversee and maintain our organization's computer networks and network systems. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and troubleshoot complex networking environments while ensuring their reliability, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation
• Plan, design, and implement robust network solutions, including LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and cloud networking.
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• System Maintenance and Optimization
• Monitor network performance and ensure uptime, scalability, and reliability.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including firmware updates, backups, and system patches.
• Analyze network data to identify and mitigate bottlenecks or performance issues.
• Security and Compliance
• Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations.
• Troubleshooting and Support
• Provide Tier 3 support to resolve complex networking issues.
• Respond promptly to network outages and lead root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences.
• Leadership and Collaboration
• Mentor junior network staff and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and IT projects.
• Prepare documentation for network systems, policies, and procedures.
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 10+ years of experience in network administration, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and technologies.
• Experience with network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and tools.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
• Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
