Job Details

The Interaction Designer will work in the Health Business Systems Branch (HBS), responsible for D365 business applications. The role is part of a multidisciplinary Agile Release Train within a SAFe framework. You will design and improve user experiences for systems and services developed by the branch.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive interfaces for public-facing systems and services

  • Generate original design solutions to simplify complex user problems

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes

  • Develop reusable front-end components and design collateral

  • Establish design guidelines, best practices and standards

  • Present and advocate for user-friendly designs to peers and executives

  • Incorporate user feedback and research into interface delivery

  • Use prototyping tools such as Adobe XD and Figma

  • Produce high-quality wireframes, storyboards, and flow diagrams

Selection Criteria

Max 5000 characters total in one-page pitch (individual responses not required)

Essential Criteria

  1. Minimum of 5 years experience of commercial experience as a UI-UX designer

  2. Experience with Adobe XD, Figma or equivalent tools

  3. Experience in conducting testing of prototypes with users and capturing insights and feedback

  4. Solid understanding of accessible design principles and experience in designing to meet WCAG guidelines, including AA Compliance

  5. Experience in designing information architecture and arranging functionality and content into logical and intuitive structures

  6. Experience with Agile software development and project delivery

Desirable Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Design, Interaction Design, Human Centred Design or similar

  2. Minimum of 2 referees to be provided (only contacted if shortlisted)
