Location: Alabang (On-site), Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, Philippines
Position Summary:
The Operations Lead Accounting plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes. This role leads a team of accounting professionals, supports month-end and year-end close activities, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in managing accounting functions within a fast-paced BPO environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting operations team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Has strong experience with general accounting, contract management, auditing, claims, tax calculations, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate with Finance Manager and other departments to streamline accounting workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure team productivity and service quality.
- Assist in audits, both internal and external, by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and usability.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a BPO or shared services environment is highly desirable.
- Supported clients in the automotive industry on a BPO setup is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to work fully onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
- Must be amenable to a night‑shift work schedule.
