Our Client, a safari lodge in Botswana's Ngoma region, is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee kitchen operations and ensure food quality and consistency.
  • Plan and develop menus that align with customer preferences and trends.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Control costs by managing budgets, food inventory, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure hygiene and safety compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with management and front-of-house teams for smooth service.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and drive innovation in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role in 4* lodges.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Proven leadership in training and developing kitchen teams
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal and sustainable produce
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • A passion for hospitality and commitment to creating unforgettable guest experiences.
