POSITION: Lighting Engineer / Lighting Technician

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

1: Should be well versed with applications - street lighting, hospitality lighting, landscape/facade lighting, commercial and residential lighting.

2: Standards - Good knowledge of lighting standards.

3: Software hands-on - Agi 32, Dialux 4.13, Dialux Evo 9, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop CS6

4: Software skills - Lighting designs, layouts, calculations, simulations, 3D rendering, 3D models with light effects:

5: Strong Architectural Lighting

6: Background Knowledge of Lighting, Luminaires, and Lamps.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily design and production tasks with team members on various projects, in various stages of design and construction Production.
  • Compiling lighting design documentations, including presentations using InDesign with graphics and text, lighting layout drawings utilizing
  • CAD/Revit, and lighting specifications (luminaire schedules, cutsheets).
  • Performing lighting calculations using AGI32 to verify lighting design and targets, lighting power density calculations , and simple budget calculations .
  • Knowledge of the lighting industry, including luminaire trends and research, mock-up and assessments, as well as communicating with manufacturer, reps, and clients.
  • Participate in the occasional on-site (in town or out of town) lighting surveys, meetings, mock-up sessions, or final fixture aiming/focusing.

  • Degree in Lighting Design or associated field (Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Theatrical

  • AutoCAD AGI32 Crea&ng 3D calcula&on model, running ligh&ng studies, evalua&on of luminaire photometry
  • MicrosoV Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Crea&ve Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Revit (great to have, not a must) Par&cipate in industry related professional organiza&ons (IALD, IES, etc.)
  • Cer&fied Ligh&ng Designer (CLD) (great to have, not a must)
  • NCQLP Ligh&ng Cer&fica&on (LC) (great to have, not a must)
  • 2-6 years of Ligh&ng Design (or associated Ligh&ng related industry)
  • Fluent in spoken and wri]en English
