About the job Application Engineer

As a Battery Application Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and commercialization of battery pack and module architectures. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that proposals for selected RFQ/RFIs meet the needs of customers in a variety of applications, from electric vehicles to grid-scale energy storage.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to understand their battery application requirements and provide technical support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop battery designs and specifications that meet customer needs.
  • Calculate cell requirements based in module architecture.
  • Conduct simulations, performance testing and analysis of battery prototypes to validate designs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of product documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in battery technology and industry trends, and use this knowledge to inform product development and customer support efforts.
  • Represent the company at industry events, such as trade shows and conferences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in battery applications or related field
  • Strong technical background in battery chemistry, design, and manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with both customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, and industry events as needed.
