Platinum Global Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of environmental, health, and safety initiatives, performing regular site inspections, and ensuring subcontractors meet all safety documentation requirements. 

This is a leadership position where you will promote safe work behaviors among crews and trade partners while supporting compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations. The role is instrumental in minimizing workplace incidents and fostering a strong, proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee EH&S standards throughout manufacturing and construction activities
  • Perform regular site inspections, track findings, and drive timely corrective measures
  • Manage subcontractor safety records, including toolbox talks and required documentation
  • Facilitate safety briefings and assist with Pre‑Task Planning (PTP) activities
  • Evaluate subcontractor safety plans to ensure alignment with company and regulatory requirements
  • Encourage proactive hazard identification and safe work behaviors
  • Assist with adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing incidents and achieving zero citations

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in construction or manufacturing safety
  • OSHA certification required (OSHA 30); ASP preferred
  • Proven experience in audit execution and policy enforcement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, take ownership, and drive tasks to completion
  • Effective collaborator with skilled trades, subcontractors, and production personnel
  • Highly organized with strong written reporting and record‑keeping capabilities
