Platinum Outsourcing is an award winning, Australian owned and managed co sourcing BPO operating out of both the Philippines and Indonesia. We are a fast growing scale-up, opening our first offices in the Philippines only 4.5 years ago (and growing to 200+ employees in that time).

We have plans to expand to 500+ employees over the next 3 years.

We are seeking a highly creative and technically strong Power BI Developer to join our clients global BI Development Team. This role is responsible for designing and developing semantic models, reports, and dashboards with a particular focus on modern UI/UX, clean design, and advanced visual storytelling.

Our client has offices based in the United Kingdom and Australia, serving clients across three continents: Europe, North America, and Australasia. They deliver end-to-end Data Management and Power BI solutions and services for clients across multiple sectors.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop visually compelling, user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards with a modern look and feel.
  • Build and optimize semantic data models using best practices for performance and reusability.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and end-users to gather requirements and iterate designs.
  • Support and enhance existing Power BI solutions and respond to change requests.
  • Conduct QA testing and data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Participate in occasional client-facing workshops or design reviews.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and design trends.

Our clients BI solutions typically extract data from Cloud SaaS provider APIs using their Integration Platform, storing it in either a Microsoft SQL Server database, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, which then serve as primary sources for reporting. In their customer environments, data sources may also include a variety of cloud databases, data warehouses, and Excel-based sources, depending on the architecture in place

What We're Seeking:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, interactive dashboards with strong visual design skills.
  • Experience in creating mock-ups or prototypes to translate business requirements into report wireframes before development
  • Advanced skills in DAX and Power Query (M)
  • Proficient in SQL, including writing complex joins and queries.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, relationships, normalization)
  • Familiarity with Power BI features

Additional preferred experience / skills:

  • Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines, Dataflows, and Power BI Service management.
  • Experience working with APIs, JSON, or integrating with Dataverse, SharePoint, or Dynamics 365, other common Database and Data warehousing Technologies.
  • Knowledge of Paginated Reports, Power Apps, or Power Automate is a bonus
