About the Role
In this position, you will focus on high-stakes employment litigation, taking on significant responsibility in complex wage and hour matters.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Litigating sophisticated California wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA cases.
- Drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery requests.
- Drafting and arguing key motions to advance case strategies.
- Preparing witnesses for depositions, as well as taking and defending depositions.
- Managing multiple litigation projects simultaneously from inception through resolution in a fast-paced environment.
- Partnering closely with team members to deliver top-tier service and legal counsel.
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
- 3 to 6 years of litigation experience.
- Active California State bar license in good standing.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials paired with excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
Nice to Have:
- Significant experience in labor and employment law is preferred; however, candidates with strong core litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law will be considered.
