About the Role

As a Litigation Associate in our San Francisco, CA office, you will serve as a vital advocate and productive member of a high-performing litigation team. You will manage a broad and sophisticated portfolio of complex commercial, business, and corporate disputes. This role is designed for a versatile practitioner who thrives on multi-faceted caseloads and values the professional growth and synergy that comes from working alongside senior partners in a dedicated, in-office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Litigation: Manage and advance complex commercial and business litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Advocacy & Motion Practice: Draft and argue critical motions, handle written discovery, and manage sophisticated e-discovery processes.
  • Depositions & Case Milestones: Conduct and defend key depositions, exercising sound legal judgment to achieve favorable results for clients.
  • Diverse Dispute Management: Assist with a broad range of specialized matters consistent with our San Francisco department, including business disputes, commercial landlord-tenant issues, corporate governance, and bankruptcy matters.
  • Collaborative Ownership: Manage multiple assignments and strict deadlines seamlessly within a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of complex commercial litigation experience. Prior experience working within a large law firm or a sophisticated litigation boutique is highly preferred.
  • Bar Admission: Must be actively licensed and admitted to practice law in the State of California.
  • Academic Background: Juris Doctorate (JD) required from an accredited law school.
  • Skills: Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential, along with a proven track record in motion practice and discovery management.
  • Authorization: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (the firm is under no obligation to provide visa sponsorship for this position).
