About the Role
As a Real Estate Associate, you will serve as a strategic advisor on high-stakes property transactions across the country. You will navigate the intricacies of the real estate lifecycle, managing various components of complex deals both independently and as part of a highly collaborative national team. This on-track position is designed for a practitioner with sharp business instincts who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to engage directly with an elite, diverse client base on their most pivotal investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Support and execute sophisticated real estate acquisitions and dispositions, ensuring seamless progress from inception to closing.
- Financing Execution: Review, comment on, and manage loan documents for complex commercial real estate financing transactions, representing both borrowers and lenders.
- Leasing & Development: Advise on and structure commercial leasing and development agreements across diverse asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, sustainable energy, and digital infrastructure.
- Strategic Advisory: Leverage exceptional legal and industry insight to help clients—including private equity funds, family offices, and Fortune 500 companies—navigate market risks and opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Interface directly with key stakeholders, clients, and investors, providing the highest quality of professional service and serving as a reliable point of contact.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of dedicated commercial real estate transactional experience within a reputable law firm setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven track record and familiarity with the full transaction lifecycle, with the ability to independently review and negotiate leases, purchase agreements, and financing documents.
- Bar Admission: Must be currently admitted, or eligible for immediate admission, to the relevant state bar for the office location.
- Academic Background: Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and a natural aptitude for teamwork.
