About the Role

As a Labor & Employment Attorney in our Los Angeles office, you will serve as a core member of a broad and expanding practice group. You will navigate complex employment disputes across local, state, and federal courts while providing nuanced compliance counseling to a diverse roster of clients. This role is designed for a self-starting practitioner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with direct client interaction, and is ready to integrate into a robust practice that values professional development and seamless team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complex Litigation Management: Lead and support diverse employment matters, including single-plaintiff disputes, PAGA actions, and wage-and-hour class actions.
  • Strategic Counseling: Provide sophisticated day-to-day employment counseling to clients, helping them navigate complex California labor laws and mitigate risk.
  • Case Development: Draft high-level pleadings, motions, and briefs; manage comprehensive discovery; and take and defend depositions.
  • Courtroom Advocacy: Regularly represent employers in local, state, and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies, handling matters from initial strategy through trial.
  • Collaborative Execution: Deliver efficient, high-quality legal services both independently and as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the highest standards of client service.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of high-level employment litigation and counseling experience, with a proven track record in single-plaintiff, PAGA, and class action matters.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of California and federal labor and employment laws.
  • Bar Admission: Must be an active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing and communication skills, extreme attention to detail, and the confidence to interface directly with corporate clients.
