About the Role
In this position, you will split your focus between high-level employment counseling and complex employment litigation, protecting the interests of a diverse client base.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing employment litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.
- Providing strategic, proactive employment counseling and risk management advice to clients.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests with a high level of analytical precision.
- Representing clients in court appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
- Interacting directly with clients to understand their business objectives and deliver tailored legal solutions.
- Collaborating with partners and fellow associates on complex, multi-jurisdictional labor and employment issues.
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
- 3 or more years of dedicated employment litigation and counseling experience.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active Illinois State bar license in good standing.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Proven ability to function effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a comfort level for direct client interaction.
