Job Openings Paid Media Specialist

About the job Paid Media Specialist

About the Role

We are an e-commerce and digital consultancy acting as the fractional digital and e-commerce lead for a portfolio of premium fashion, swimwear, and lifestyle brands across the United States and Australia. We are looking for an exceptional Paid Media Specialist to own day-to-day execution across Meta and Google.

This person will live in the ad accounts every working day, keep tracking and product feeds healthy, build campaigns, and give honest, clear reads on what is and isn't working. Strategy, budgets, and commercial targets are set at the leadership level; this role owns the execution underneath them, starting with a premium swimwear brand and potentially expanding to additional accounts as the business grows.

This is not a coordinator or assistant role. It is a hands-on performance marketing position for someone who wants ownership of real budgets across real brands. Email, SMS, Klaviyo lifecycle work, and dashboard building are outside the scope of this role.

Work Structure & Requirements

Schedule: Part-time to start, with potential to move to full-time as accounts are added
Location: Remote
Timezone: Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap required
Compensation: 10 USD
Setup: Reliable high-speed internet, a backup connection, and own computer required

Key Responsibilities

Meta Advertising
Check every ad account daily for pacing, delivery, frequency, creative fatigue, and overnight issues
Build and restructure campaigns to a specified architecture while maintaining tight edit hygiene to avoid resetting the learning phase
Diagnose and fix accounts stuck in the learning phase with a genuine understanding of the underlying mechanics
Run a structured creative testing framework with disciplined naming conventions so results remain readable over time
Manage catalogue work, including dynamic product ads, Advantage+ catalogue ads, and collection ads
Google Advertising
Manage Performance Max, Standard Shopping, and brand and non-brand Search campaigns
Keep brand and non-brand performance reported separately so brand traffic is not mistaken for growth
Tracking & Product Feeds
Maintain Meta pixel, Conversions API, and server-side event health, including event match quality and deduplication
Troubleshoot tracking issues, especially when tracking breaks silently
Manage Google Merchant Center feed setup, diagnostics, disapprovals, and product data quality
Enforce UTM discipline across every campaign
Budget & Campaign Execution
Pace monthly budgets daily by brand, channel, and market, flagging potential overspend early
Advise on where and when budgets can be scaled
Traffic, name, and QA all creative assets provided by brand teams
Build every paid campaign to the trading and campaign calendar, on time
Paid Media Reporting
Deliver a weekly written update on Meta and Google performance by campaign, creative, and channel, with a focus on MER, CAC, and ROAS
Analyse creative performance and feed insights back to inform content strategy
Clearly explain gaps between platform-reported numbers, GA4, and Shopify data
Build and maintain a weekly reporting spreadsheet tracking all key metrics
Provide a short written daily handover at the end of each working day

Required Skills & Experience

Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on paid social and paid search experience for e-commerce brands, ideally in fashion, apparel, beauty, or another considered-purchase category. Agency experience is welcome, provided the candidate tailors strategy to each brand's catalogue, price point, and audience rather than relying on templates

Strategy: Solid understanding of brand vs. performance marketing, blended attribution, and customer acquisition

Meta: Business Manager and Ads Manager administration across multiple ad accounts; knows when to use Advantage+ Shopping vs. manual campaigns; deep understanding of the learning phase, including conversion thresholds, consolidation, significant edits, frequency, and audience overlap; audience strategy across broad, interest, lookalike, and retargeting with correct exclusions

Google: Google Ads including Performance Max, Shopping, and Search; Google Merchant Center feeds and diagnostics; GA4 to a working standard, including events, conversions, channel groupings, and exploration reports

Tracking: Meta pixel and Conversions API setup and debugging, event match quality, and UTM discipline; able to spot broken tracking before anyone flags it

Analytics: Confident in Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, clean reporting) and comfortable discussing MER, CAC, blended ROAS, and incrementality

Communication: Excellent written English; weekly updates may be client-facing and must be clear, professional, and free of filler

Working Style: In the accounts every working day, raises problems before being asked, and is comfortable saying I don't know, let me find out

Attention to Detail: Obsessive about craft; issues like a cropped logo, broken link, wrong price, or incorrect size guide are never treated as minor

Discretion: Absolute confidentiality is required, as this role has visibility into revenue, margin, and ad spend across competing brands

Reliability: Consistent hours, highly responsive, and proactive about flagging leave well in advance
