Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting operations within the Shared Services Center. This includes processing journal entries, managing reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume, service-oriented environment that supports global or regional business units.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with local and global accounting policies.

Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, etc.) and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and external regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with other finance teams, internal stakeholders, and external auditors.

Participate in process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Maintain documentation of accounting processes in accordance with company standards.

Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Finance Manager or Team Lead.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.

CPA is an advantage but not required.

13 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.

Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and/or IFRS.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and MS Excel.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good communication skills and ability to work across global teams.
Willingness to work on a hybrid or shifting schedule if required by global operations.
