Job Description:
The Operations Improvement Specialist is responsible for supporting business process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives through data analysis, workflow optimization, and automation support. The role focuses on reviewing operational processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and assisting in the implementation of productivity-enhancing solutions across the organization.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on operational or manufacturing experience, and advanced Excel proficiency. The successful candidate must be highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, process consistency, and timely completion of assigned initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement & Operations Support
- Assist in the execution of business process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and process standardization.
- Analyze operational workflows and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and performance improvement.
- Support continuous improvement projects by providing operational insights and factual data analysis.
- Participate in operational reviews and contribute recommendations for process enhancement.
Data Management & Analysis
- Prepare, consolidate, clean, and validate operational data for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Conduct regular operational data reviews to identify trends, inconsistencies, and process gaps.
- Generate accurate reports, summaries, and productivity-related data for management and operational teams.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of operational data and reports.
Excel Automation & Reporting
- Develop and maintain Excel-based monitoring tools, trackers, and automated reports.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, Power Query, lookups, formulas, and data consolidation techniques.
- Support automation of repetitive operational tasks and reporting activities.
- Assist in improving report generation processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
Automation & Digital Transformation Support
- Execute and monitor Power Automate workflows and other automation-related activities based on established requirements.
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting automation outputs and process flows.
- Support DX (Digital Transformation) and data operations initiatives across different business functions.
- Contribute to system and process enhancement activities to improve operational performance.
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain organized and updated working files, process documents, reports, and automation records.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and team members to validate operational information and ensure data consistency.
- Assist in documenting process workflows, standard procedures, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with established operational procedures and reporting standards.
Continuous Learning & Technical Development
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge in data analysis, process automation, SQL operations, and business intelligence tools.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and digital solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on process improvement methodologies and operational best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or any related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or operational data analysis.
- Strong background in process analysis, productivity improvement, workflow optimization, or operations support.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, Power Query, and data analysis functions.
- Exposure to automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate is an advantage.
- Experience or exposure to Microsoft Power BI for dashboard creation, data visualization, and reporting is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, data analytics, or business intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of operational data accurately.
