Role Overview
The Accounting & Admin Manager oversees the company's accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing, reporting, compliance, and cost control. The role also supports administrative efficiency, audit requirements, inventory activities, and ERP-related initiatives while providing financial insights and guidance to management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, Controller, or Finance Manager capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in month-end financial closing, financial analysis, expense monitoring, and management reporting.
  • Experience with ERP implementation and/or modern ERP systems, preferably with exposure to the accounting/finance modules.
  • Experience in multi-company reporting is an advantage.
  • Strong MS Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare management reports.
  • Experience working with senior management and cross-functional teams, with the ability to communicate financial matters clearly.
  • With experience in manufacturing environments, particularly within semiconductor, power generation, or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of monthly financial closing activities, including account reviews, reconciliations, and required supporting schedules.
  • Review monthly expenses and identify potential cost leakages, unnecessary expenditures, and opportunities for improved cost control.
  • Prepare and review financial reports and provide relevant financial information and analysis to management.
  • Ensure accounting practices and financial reports are aligned with applicable accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
  • Support budgeting, cost monitoring, and other financial planning and analysis activities as required.
Compliance, Audit & Inventory
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure the timely completion of annual audits and submission of required supporting documents.
  • Ensure timely completion and filing of required reports and regulatory requirements, including PEZA, BIR, and DOLE submissions, as applicable.
  • Support and participate in physical inventory activities, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation of inventory records.
  • Review financial and operational documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.
Operations & Process Improvement
  • Review work orders and related documentation to ensure consistency with established standards and identify issues requiring attention from manufacturing or operations leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting, administrative, and reporting processes to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Promote lean office practices and contribute to initiatives that improve administrative and financial workflows.
  • Support the implementation, enhancement, and effective use of the company's ERP platform, particularly for accounting and finance processes.
  • Develop and maintain relevant accounting, finance, and administrative documentation and process references.
Management & Business Support
  • Serve as a key finance and accounting resource to management, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams on financial and operational matters.
  • Support organizational initiatives and growth strategies by providing timely financial information, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Perform other accounting, finance, and administrative responsibilities as needed to support business operations.
