Role Overview
A growing technology organization is seeking a Practice Lead for Microsoft Platforms to define, scale, and govern its Microsoft ecosystem capabilities.
This leadership role is responsible for the full lifecycle of Microsoft platform services—from strategy and architecture to delivery and continuous optimization. The position ensures that Microsoft solutions drive measurable business outcomes across customer engagement, sales, service, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall Microsoft practice strategy, including roadmap and operating model aligned with organizational and client priorities
- Position Microsoft platforms as a key enabler of business growth, customer engagement, and digital transformation
- Establish architectural standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across Microsoft technologies
Offering & Capability Development
- Design, build, and expand Microsoft-related service offerings, including:
- Customer engagement and CRM solutions
- Industry-specific and customized Microsoft-based solutions
- Integration, data, and API-driven architectures
- Platform modernization, optimization, and managed services
- Create reusable assets such as accelerators, templates, and reference architectures to improve delivery efficiency
- Promote adoption of modern engineering practices, including DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Delivery Excellence & Governance
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of Microsoft programs across multiple projects and portfolios
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to platform performance, adoption, and business value
- Act as the escalation point for complex or high-risk initiatives
- Ensure alignment with platform updates, security standards, and compliance requirements
Talent Development & Team Leadership
- Build and lead multidisciplinary teams, including architects, developers, consultants, administrators, and QA specialists
- Define role structures, competency frameworks, and certification pathways aligned with Microsoft standards
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with senior stakeholders, including business leaders and technology executives, to define platform strategies and transformation roadmaps
- Lead discovery sessions, solution workshops, and executive-level presentations
- Serve as a trusted advisor on platform adoption, optimization, and value realization
Commercial Growth & Partnerships
- Support business development activities, including solution design, scoping, and proposal development
- Drive revenue growth through new offerings, account expansion, and long-term service engagements
- Manage strategic partnerships within the Microsoft ecosystem, including certifications, partner programs, and co-selling initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in CRM platforms, enterprise applications, or digital technologies
- At least 5 years in a leadership role focused on Microsoft platforms or practice development
- Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including architecture across multiple cloud-based solutions
- Proven track record in leading large-scale implementations or digital transformation programs
- Experience building and scaling high-performing technical and delivery teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage executive audiences
Preferred
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., solution architecture, platform development, or equivalent)
- Background in consulting, systems integration, or technology services environments
- Experience with integration platforms, data ecosystems, and cloud-based architectures
- Exposure to enterprise-scale or regulated industry environments
