Role Overview
A global organization is seeking a Video Conferencing Operations Engineer to manage and support enterprise video conferencing systems. This role ensures reliable, high-quality communication experiences by maintaining system performance, resolving technical issues, and supporting ongoing improvements in collaboration technologies.
The position works closely with internal technology teams and external vendors to deliver seamless video conferencing services across a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain video conferencing platforms and supporting infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve video conferencing issues and minimize service disruptions.
- Configure and maintain systems in line with established standards, including security and change management practices.
- Document system configurations, incidents, and resolutions for knowledge sharing and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend enhancements to video conferencing solutions.
- Participate in on-call support rotations for incident response.
- Assist in deploying, upgrading, and maintaining video conferencing hardware and software.
- Ensure compliance with information security standards and internal procedures.
- Support business continuity initiatives related to collaboration and communication platforms.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise video conferencing systems and environments.
- Experience with platforms and technologies such as Cisco, Poly, Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with administrative tools for collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams administration, cloud video interoperability).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals relevant to video conferencing systems.
- Experience working with vendors and third-party service providers.
- Experience with system documentation and change management processes.
