Finance Specialist

We’re looking for a Finance Specialist to support strategic finance initiatives, provide technical accounting guidance, and help strengthen finance policies and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Finance policies, operating guidelines, and internal controls.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex accounting issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Assess new accounting standards and regulatory requirements and support their implementation.
• Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and other teams on accounting matters and process improvements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors on technical accounting and compliance matters.
• Support financial assessments of third-party vendors, contract reviews, system enhancements, and other Finance initiatives.
• Develop process improvement solutions and provide guidance or training to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in technical accounting, accounting policies, financial statement reviews, or accounting advisory is an advantage.
• Exposure to IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation in the insurance industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance products, corporate Finance, and actuarial systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
