SAP Data Migration Consultant

Role Overview

A global professional services organization is seeking an SAP Data Migration Consultant to support enterprise transformation initiatives involving SAP implementations. The role focuses on migrating and transforming data from legacy systems into SAP environments while ensuring data integrity, system compatibility, and successful project delivery.

The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to support data migration activities across multiple SAP modules during implementation and testing phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end SAP implementation projects, contributing to the planning and execution of data migration activities.
• Design, configure, and manage data migration workflows using SAP data integration tools.
• Create and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for migrating legacy data into SAP systems.
• Build and maintain source and target data structures to support migration activities.
• Configure and manage data migration jobs, workflows, and data flows within the migration framework. 
• Support migration processes involving multiple SAP modules such as: Finance and Controlling, Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing

• Perform data refresh activities in SAP environments prior to mock runs and integration testing.
• Participate in mock migration cycles and full data load activities, ensuring accurate and timely execution. 
• Develop and deliver pre-load and post-load reconciliation reports comparing legacy data with migrated SAP data. 
• Apply transformation rules and mapping logic to convert legacy data structures into SAP-compatible formats.
• Collaborate with cross-regional stakeholders to address migration challenges and ensure alignment across teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience participating in at least two full lifecycle SAP implementation projects.
• Hands-on experience with SAP data migration tools and integration processes.
• Practical experience working with: IDOC, BAPI, LTMC, LSMW

• Experience designing and implementing data mappings and transformation rules using SAP data integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of data migration processes for SAP systems, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with LTMOM for migration object modeling.
