Senior Azure Developer

Role Overview

Our client, a technology-focused organization, is seeking a Senior Azure Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of cloud-based applications on the Microsoft Azure platform.

This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will drive architecture decisions, build scalable cloud solutions, mentor developers, and ensure high standards of security, performance, and maintainability across applications.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Development

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Architect and optimize cloud-native and serverless solutions, including Azure Functions.
• Enhance application performance, reliability, and scalability.

DevOps & Deployment

• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration across environments.
• Maintain application security and compliance with cloud governance standards.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain development quality standards.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Stay current with emerging Azure technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud development, including at least 5 years working extensively with Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced expertise in Azure services and cloud architecture principles.
• Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, or Python.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and guide development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  (Certifications are an advantage; candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged.)
• Experience in front-end development or full-stack development with stronger exposure to front-end technologies.
• Hands-on experience building and optimizing solutions using Azure Functions.
