An influential leadership role requiring a strategic tax expert to oversee global tax compliance and reporting. This position is responsible for the integrity of tax processes across a complex international footprint, ensuring absolute adherence to multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements, including Transfer Pricing and statutory reporting.
The Director will bridge the gap between Global Shared Services (GSC) and Group leadership, driving a culture of automation, risk mitigation, and high-performance delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Oversight: Lead the end-to-end tax compliance lifecycle, ensuring all global filings, CbCR, and Transfer Pricing requirements are executed with precision.
- Process Transformation: Partner with Group Tax, Legal, and Finance leads to identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology to increase efficiency and control.
- Risk & Audit Management: Act as the primary lead for tax audits and inquiries, collaborating with in-country stakeholders to resolve complex fiscal challenges and mitigate risk.
- Stakeholder Synergy: Serve as a key advisor to the Group Head of Tax; manage relationships with external advisors and decentralized finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain accountability for tax accounting reconciliations, VAT recovery, and the integration of new systems or acquired entities.
- Leadership: Direct and develop a high-caliber tax team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and technical growth.
Qualifications:
- Credentials: Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience: 12–15 years of progressive tax compliance experience, with a significant tenure in a senior leadership capacity within a Big 4 or Global Shared Services environment.
- Technical Mastery: Deep fluency in international tax principles and the nuances of managing tax in large, multi-national corporate structures.
- Soft Skills: A sophisticated communicator capable of influencing C-suite stakeholders and navigating ambiguity with an agile, solution-oriented mindset.
- Operational Background: Proven track record in managing third-party advisors and remote functional teams across diverse geographies.
