Role Overview

The Data Analyst will play a key role in transforming business and operational data into meaningful insights that support decision-making, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position focuses on analyzing structured datasets, building reports and dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business requirements related to reporting, analytics, and performance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data models and queries to support both recurring and ad hoc analysis.
  • Perform data extraction, cleansing, and analysis using structured data sources (e.g., SQL-based systems).
  • Create and manage dashboards and visual reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to effectively communicate insights.
  • Validate data sources, reporting logic, and outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and operational gaps; provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support issue resolution through root cause analysis and validation of data-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to periodic reporting, including KPIs and performance metrics for leadership review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including proper documentation and handling of sensitive information.
  • Perform additional analytical and reporting tasks as required.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and query optimization.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling).
  • Strong ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of reliability and commitment to maintaining data confidentiality.


Preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related function.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, or analytics engineering concepts.
  • Understanding of data governance practices and data quality management frameworks.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
  • Experience working with operational or financial datasets.
