Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership:
- Partner with the Product Manager to detail the product vision for the Data Backbone into an executable roadmap that aligns with the Business strategy
- Execute the product vision for the Data Backbone Client & Marketing Workstream
- Ensure the product meets the needs of end-users, including data scientists, insights specialists, and campaign owners.
- Translate business requirements into actionable product backlog items and user stories.
- Prioritize features and capabilities that align with organizational goals and user needs.
- Synthesize and harmonize requirements and inputs from different business stakeholders and data end-users.
- Guide both business and technical talents, and unblock challenges
- Foster a collaborative and agile working environment to ensure efficient product delivery.
Performance Monitoring and Value Realization
- Define and track OKRs for the product workstream
- Contribute to the overall Data Backbone Value Statement Card (VSC) / Business Case
- Quantify the potential benefits and business impact from each backlog / business requirement
- Drive value realization from deployed use cases and champion the adoption and utilization of Data Backbone features
- Drive awareness and educate both technical and business end-users on Data Backbone Client Workstream concepts and features
- Continuously analyze and report on product performance and user adoption
- Partner with Finance and monitor the realization of potential benefits, which may include decommissioning of reports/systems, freeing up capacity, or enabling CX & marketing initiatives and campaigns for more data-driven decision-making
KPI Stewardship
- Review and drive the standardization of business logic and KPI metric definition across functions, Lines of Business, or with other markets
- This includes aligning KPI definitions in relation to business goals, in order to drive the right behaviors and business actions
- Endorsing the KPIs for sign-off from the KPI Owner or Executive Leader
Stakeholder Management:
- Enable and support Client and Marketing in leveraging the Data Backbone and its features
- Manage and facilitate senior leadership discussions to build transparency, confidence, and ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with Change Management and Training Teams to drive the adoption and utilization of Data Backbone product features, including dashboards, reports, and the data warehouse
Risk Management:
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop contingency plans and implement risk mitigation strategies
Technical Expertise:
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and analytics.
User Experience:
- Understand and advocate for the needs of end-users, including data scientists, insights and data specialists, and operations managers.
- Continuously gather feedback and iterate on product features to enhance user satisfaction and productivity.
Agile Methodologies:
- Implement and champion Agile practices within the team.
- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in data-driven projects Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and lakehouse architectures
- Experience in the Life Insurance and Investments industry is highly desirable
- Experience in developing and deploying data analytics solutions in the Client
- Experience and Marketing domain
- Proven track record of successful product delivery in Agile, Lean Incremental, or Waterfall methodology
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in the mentioned tech stack (Confluence, JIRA, Tableau, Erwin Data Modeler, AWS).
