Position Summary

The Country Manager / Director, Finance Shared Services Operations will lead the Manila Global Business Services (GBS) center, specifically driving the delivery of end-to-end financial operations supporting global business units. As a key member of the Global Finance Leadership Team, this role is responsible for ensuring financial operational excellence, robust internal controls, stakeholder management, talent development, and digital finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the Manila Finance Shared Services Center to deliver scalable, high-quality financial services that align with global enterprise goals.
  • Partner with the Global CFO, Controllers, and Finance Leaders to seamlessly transition, stabilize, and optimize regional and global finance functions.
  • Drive financial operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement programs across the hub.

Operations & Financial Management

  • Oversee day-to-day core financial operations, including Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Global Payroll, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) support.
  • Ensure service delivery targets (SLAs/KPIs) are met, focusing on closing cycle times, billing accuracy, and vendor payment timelines.
  • Manage local entity operations including site HR, Finance, Facilities, Administration, and Employee Engagement.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to corporate finance executives and regional business units.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and strict compliance with SOX, IFRS/US GAAP, and local statutory/tax regulatory requirements.
  • Manage risk mitigation protocols for financial data security, fraud prevention, and audit readiness.

Talent & Culture

  • Build and develop a high-performing leadership team comprised of Finance Managers and specialized subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Foster a performance-driven culture that values financial integrity, continuous learning, and career pathing toward corporate finance tracks.
  • Drive active succession planning and employee engagement to minimize attrition in a competitive market.

Finance Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion digital finance transformation, leveraging ERP optimization (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Intelligent Automation (RPA, AI in finance).
  • Identify opportunities to standardize financial processes, eliminate redundancies, and lower the overall cost-to-serve.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred. An MBA or postgraduate degree is a strong advantage.
  • Experience: 12+ years of leadership experience within a Shared Services, GBS, or multinational corporate environment, with at least 7+ years strictly dedicated to leading large-scale Finance and Accounting (F&A) operations.
