Job Summary
The Data Head (AVP / VP Level) is responsible for leading the organization’s enterprise-wide data, analytics, and AI strategy to support business growth, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making. This role oversees the development of scalable and secure data ecosystems, drives analytics and AI initiatives, and ensures strong governance, compliance, and data quality standards. The position works closely with business, technology, risk, and compliance leaders to maximize the value of data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy

• Lead the development and execution of the enterprise data and analytics strategy.
• Create roadmaps for data modernization, governance, and AI adoption initiatives.
• Promote a data-driven culture and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Data Platforms & Infrastructure

• Oversee enterprise data platforms including data lakes, data warehouses, and master data management (MDM) systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
• Support cloud transformation and system integration initiatives.

Analytics & AI

• Lead analytics, data science, and AI teams in delivering business-focused solutions.
• Drive AI and machine learning initiatives such as fraud detection, risk analytics, and customer personalization.
• Translate data insights into measurable business impact and operational improvements.

Business Partnership

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to integrate data into strategic and operational decisions.
• Align data initiatives with business goals related to revenue growth, customer experience, and risk management.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on enterprise data and AI initiatives.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Establish and enforce enterprise data governance, privacy, and security standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
• Promote ethical and responsible use of AI technologies.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and develop teams across data engineering, analytics, AI, and governance functions.
• Foster a strong data-driven culture and improve data literacy organization-wide.
• Encourage collaboration across business and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• 15–20+ years of experience in data, analytics, engineering, or AI leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, and data governance.
• Experience implementing AI/ML solutions, preferably within regulated industries.
• Proven leadership in managing large-scale transformation and enterprise data programs.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive leadership skills.
