Job Description
The Senior Manager – Supply Chain will lead and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient planning, sourcing, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution of products and materials. The role is responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, managing costs, improving service levels, and ensuring the availability of products and materials in line with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the organization's business goals and growth plans.
Lead the overall supply chain function, ensuring effective coordination across planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding supply chain capabilities, risks, and opportunities.
Demand & Supply Planning
Oversee demand planning and forecasting activities to ensure adequate product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Develop supply plans based on demand forecasts, historical trends, business requirements, and inventory levels.
Monitor forecast accuracy and identify gaps between projected and actual demand.
Procurement & Supplier Management
Oversee procurement activities and ensure timely sourcing of materials, products, and other requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, lead time, reliability, and service levels.
Inventory Management
Establish and monitor inventory policies and controls across warehouses, branches, and other relevant locations.
Optimize inventory levels to balance product availability, working capital, and storage costs.
Analyze inventory turnover and identify opportunities to improve stock utilization.
Warehouse & Distribution
Oversee warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficient movement and storage of goods.
Monitor warehouse capacity, utilization, productivity, and operating costs.
Ensure proper inventory handling, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
Process Improvement
Review existing supply chain processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
Lead cross-functional projects aimed at reducing costs, improving productivity, and strengthening service levels.
Implement best practices in demand planning, inventory management, procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain team to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and development goals for team members.
Build a high-performing and collaborative supply chain organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
8–12+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, planning, inventory, or related functions.
At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or senior leadership capacity.
Strong experience in end-to-end supply chain management.
Experience managing multiple supply chain functions such as demand planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
Proven experience leading end-to-end supply chain operations for a large, multi-site, retail, distribution, automotive, motorcycle, or consumer-goods organization.
Strong background in supplier and stakeholder management.
Experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
