Role Overview

Our client, a global technology company specializing in AI-driven communication solutions, is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead market expansion efforts in the Philippines.

This role will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities across key sectors such as business process outsourcing (BPO), enterprise organizations, government institutions, and education. The successful candidate will act as the organization’s local market representative, building strategic relationships, increasing product awareness, and creating qualified opportunities for the sales team.

The position works closely with global go-to-market teams and reports directly to senior leadership, ensuring strong collaboration across sales, marketing, product, and customer success functions.

Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Opportunity Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across industries such as BPO, contact centers, enterprise organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions.
  • Promote AI-driven communication and voice technologies that enhance productivity and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and coordinate closely with sales teams to support deal progression.
  • Provide local market support throughout the sales cycle when needed.



Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders including executives, procurement leaders, and industry influencers.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking activities to strengthen brand presence in the Philippines market.
  • Expand strategic partnerships and industry connections to support long-term market growth.



Product Awareness & Enablement

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to local market needs.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and customer success teams during negotiations, onboarding, and implementation phases.
  • Support customer education and adoption of AI-powered communication technologies.



Market Intelligence & Insights

  • Provide insights on local market trends, competitive developments, and industry opportunities.
  • Share structured feedback with internal teams to inform product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure coordinated customer engagement and messaging.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or early-stage sales roles.
  • Strong background in technology, SaaS, or BPO-related industries.
  • Proven track record of developing and advancing B2B partnerships within the Philippines market.
  • Established professional network within enterprise and BPO ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; familiarity with local languages is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of technology solutions related to voice, communication platforms, or AI-driven tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
  • Based in the Philippines and willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Comfortable collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones.
