Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to manage, support, and enhance the organization’s Microsoft 365 collaboration environment. This role is responsible for maintaining SharePoint infrastructure, ensuring system security and performance, supporting end users, and implementing collaboration solutions aligned with business requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 administration, security and compliance practices, and collaboration technologies, along with the ability to work independently and engage effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for SharePoint-related administration and support activities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and recommend suitable SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade SharePoint environments.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to optimize reliability and usability.
  • Manage user access, security groups, permissions, and authentication controls.
  • Configure and support Microsoft 365 security features such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access Policies, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and related security controls.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft 365 collaboration tools including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and related platforms.
  • Participate in large-scale SharePoint Online and OneDrive deployments, migrations, and ongoing operational support.
  • Provide technical assistance and user support for SharePoint Online applications and collaboration tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, access, and performance-related issues.
  • Design and manage SharePoint site collections, document libraries, templates, and site provisioning processes.
  • Maintain content repositories and ensure proper organization of information and documents.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deploy and support custom SharePoint solutions and enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and information security standards.
  • Monitor environments for security risks and implement preventive or corrective measures where necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and user guides.
  • Generate reports related to system usage, adoption, and performance metrics.
  • Administer and support Viva Engage environments, including user access management, community settings, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in SharePoint administration and support.
  • Strong working knowledge of:

SharePoint Hub architecture and site structures
Permission management and security groups
Custom access configuration
Site templates and provisioning

  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and information security best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
