ERP Systems Expert (Supply Chain)

Role Overview
A healthcare-focused organization is seeking an ERP Systems Expert to serve as a senior subject matter expert for supply chain ERP systems. This role combines functional expertise, technical troubleshooting, and process optimization, ensuring efficient system utilization and continuous improvement across procurement, inventory, and logistics operations.
The position plays a critical role in resolving complex system issues, enhancing workflows, and supporting enterprise-wide ERP initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
ERP Expertise & System Optimization

• Act as a senior functional and technical SME for supply chain ERP systems, including configuration, data structures, integrations, and workflows.
  
• Drive system optimization by identifying process gaps and recommending improvements across supply chain operations.
  
• Promote standardization and best practices across regions and teams.

Issue Resolution & Support

• Lead triage and resolution of complex ERP issues, including root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
  
• Serve as the highest level of operational escalation for ERP-related concerns before vendor or application team involvement.
  
• Provide advanced support through IT ticketing systems and ensure timely issue resolution.

Testing & System Enhancements

• Lead testing activities for system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.
  
• Develop test scenarios, execute validations, and document results in collaboration with IT and functional teams.

Reporting & Data Management

• Design and enhance reporting tools, including ad hoc and standardized reports using ERP datasets and reference data.
  
• Validate data accuracy and ensure integrity across supply chain reporting and analytics.

Technical Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to data flows, integrations, and database logic impacting procurement, inventory, and transactions.
  
• Support system performance improvements and ensure stability across ERP platforms.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to automation initiatives aimed at reducing manual processes and improving efficiency.
  
• Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and data accuracy.

Training & Stakeholder Support

• Deliver advanced training and coaching to end users on ERP functionality and best practices.
  
• Develop and maintain training materials to support consistent adoption across teams.

Audit & Compliance

• Support internal and external audits by validating data accuracy and explaining system controls.
  
• Ensure alignment with governance standards and compliance requirements.
  

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with supply chain ERP systems.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in roles such as Buyer, Materials Management, or ERP/System Administration within a healthcare environment.
  

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and ERP systems.
  
• Advanced troubleshooting skills, including data flow and database-level analysis.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, etc.) and data handling.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
